Delete your account
You can do this yourself, from inside the app, at any time.
This cannot be undone
Deleting your account permanently removes your encrypted portfolio and your recovery information. Because we cannot read your portfolio, we also cannot restore it afterwards. If you want a copy, export your data first.
Deleting from inside the app
Export first, if you want a copy
Open Settings, then choose “Export my data”. The file is built on your device and never passes through our servers.
Open Settings
Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Choose Delete Account
Scroll to the Account section and tap “Delete Account”.
Confirm it is you
Enter your account password. We then email you a verification code, which you enter in the app.
Confirm the deletion
Read the final confirmation and confirm. Your account and encrypted portfolio are removed, and you are returned to the welcome screen.
What is removed
- Your encrypted portfolio.
- Your recovery information, so the encrypted data can never be unlocked again.
- Your sessions on every device.
- Your account record, including your name and email address.
- The encryption key and cached copy held on the device you deleted from.
Aggregate, non-financial statistics that were already counted — for example that one account was deleted on a given day — do not identify you and are not removed. Ordinary backups and server logs age out on their normal schedule.
If you have other devices
Deleting your account signs you out everywhere. Any other device that still has Raqib installed will no longer be able to sign in. To remove the local copy from those devices as well, delete the app from each of them.
If you cannot use the app
If you have lost access to your device and cannot delete the account yourself, write to us and we will help you close it. Please send your request from the email address on the account so that we can be confident it is you. We will never ask you for your password or your recovery code.
